Brent Leland

Founder/Creative & Art Director

Brent founded Leland Creative in 2005 after working as an Art Director at Gillette, a division of Proctor & Gamble Co. During his time at Gillette, Brent worked in the company’s Grooming Brands group where he created advertising-related design and artwork for a wide range of products including the “Venus” women’s razor. After four years at Gillette, which was his first corporate job after graduating college, Brent decided to branch out on his own and - working as a one-man team based in a small office in Salem, MA - he launched Leland Creative, which was renamed Leland Creative Marketing in 2019. In the years since he first opened the doors to his own company, Brent has overseen and managed the growth of Leland Creative Marketing from its humble beginnings to a firm that now includes multiple designers, a business development team, an SEM specialist, a project coordinator, a video director, a program architect, a copywriter, and a marketing assistant. His extensive skills and experience include artistry and art direction, graphic design, package and logo design, brand development, concept development, and marketing communications. In his teenage years, Brent was inspired by the art of Walt Disney and his early aspiration was to be an animator for Disney Animation Studios. Subsequently, in college, he developed a strong interest and passion for graphic design. In addition to the works of Walt Disney, Brent credits visual artists such as Margo Chase, David Carson, Charles Spencer Anderson and Carlos Segura as the people whose work inspired him to become a graphic designer. Brent holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Communications from Maryland Institute’s College of Art.
